Rick Munoz, Vice President A&R
As
Vice President of A&R, Rick works closely with Bad Seed Music
artists to assit the artisitic and commercial development of their careers.
Rick brigs an extensive background in music, beginning with establishing
a successful DJ business while still in high, and continuing to DJ through
his college years. This experienced formed a strong musical foundation
which he applied as a producer, producing rap records for
underground artists J-Luv and Subliminal, and even independetly releasing
his own EP under the name Rocket.
A graduate of U.C. Berkeley, Rick's music industry experience includes college
radio, event promotions, brief stints on-air in San Francisco for commecrial
radio giant Clear Channel Communications, and studio production and recording.
He also has established a strong background in marketing & design,
thus bringing a broad array of expertise to his current role as A&R for
Bad Seed Music.
Rick's tireless efforts are reflected in the constant growth and evolution
of Bad Seed Music, while his profound thoughts are shared in the Bad
Seed Blog, where he opines a couple of times a week on the trials,
tribulations, and experiences of establishing artists in the hip hop
music scene.
Most days, you can find Rick collaborating with Bad Seed artists Tone &
Junior High, shaping marketing plans with Marketing director Randy
Boe, or occasionally planning holidays in tropical locales.
