MySpace ROCKS
January 11, 2005

I'm not the biggest advocate of networking or meeting people through the internet. I mean, I once tried Friendster and - of course - I have this here blog. But when it comes to, say, looking to meet people or to try to establish business connections through a website, I've never really wanted to take part in stuff like that.

Then, starting a few months ago, we kept hearing about this website called MySpace. Girls at clubs, other artists, and many of our fans kept mentioning MySpace and telling us about how cool it is, how easy it is to use, and what a huge number of artists, fans, and regular folks are using it every day.

Little did we know.... So in December, we put together a page for Tone, featuring his music and some of the same info available here at BadSeedMusic.com.

The MySpace networking setup is so easy to use and so much fun to use, we were soon addicted. The thing is, you gotta use it wisely and not, as we like to say, 'Space Out'. That means clicking through a hundered pages of, shall we say, lightly clad ladies and wasting precious minutes as pages load their videos, huge image files, mp3s and other nonsense.

Regardless, one of the best things about the MySpace page is the fact that it is driving a lot of new visitors to this very website. Good for us! So to our devoted readers, we encourage you, too, to set up your page on myspace.com and to send Tone and invite to be your friend. We promise he'll approve you!

Miami pix
January 06, 2005

Almost ten months after the fact, I have finally gotten around to posting pictures from our exploits in Miami at the Winter Music Conference.

Almost a year ago, Tone, B-Koz, and I packed our bags, drove to the airport, and hopped a flight to Miami. Later that day, as we sat in a taxicab stuck in traffic that hardly budged, we could see that South Beach was throbbing with energy, expensive cars, and young sexy folks.

We checked into our hotel, the Shelbourne, with a list of literally dozens of parties that we'd be attending over the next few days. Turned out, our hotel was the epicenter of the best pool parties of the whole weeklong event. It was pure chaos. I was constantly overwhelmed by the neverending parade of attractive young ladies in small clothing and bikini tops.

Plus, the event is - oh yeah - an extremely fertile ground for music industry networking and hobnobbing. I won't go over all the details here, but I will say that that trip to Miami was one of the most fun, outrageous, and crazy times I have ever had in my life. It is a crazy city, full of energy and positive vibes.

Plus Tone & B-Koz are nuts. So that makes it easy to have fun. Take a look at the pictures - they're just a small taste of what it all was like.
